About this app

Welcome to NatWest Rooster Money–a pocket money manager, piggy bank, reward chart, savings tracker & chores app–made to help families teach kids about money & savings goals. We also have a prepaid Visa debit card for kids that lets parents raise their youngsters to be money-wise.

With our allowance & kids money saving app, parents help children on their first steps towards understanding the value of money with a piggy bank–saving money–through to their first real-world purchases. Parents can track pocket money, manage savings, create goals, set controls, add limits & enable their child to make real transactions online & in store.

We also offer the Rooster Card for extra features like our chore manager, extra family members, and setting interest rates. The Rooster Card is a kids’ card (also a teens debit card), which links to your family’s Rooster Money account.

So far, so good. Using the paid version and have it set up for 4 kids. The "regulars" are good for my 16 y.o., who has phone, car insurance, etc. For the younger ones, it's just good motivation and a teaching tool. I contacted the developer with a question and suggestion, and got a response right away. *Update* My younger kids are learning so much about finances with this app. We homeschool, and I can't imagine anything better to teach the kids about earning, saving, and spending.

I'm using the free version at the moment, and it's fantastic. Plenty of features, yet very easy to use and navigate. I'm a FinTech nerd, and I love that this app lets me share that with my kids! It's been a huge help in teaching them to give first, save second, and enjoy the rest. Favorite features: Auto allowance splits Goal based savings Great visuals let my kids "see" where their money is going, even when I don't have cash on hand Either parent can add/remove money or stars any time anywhere

I have the free version and it works well. I have a recurring allowance, then I can manually enter things like birthday money. It's great for showing the kids what they spend money on, so they can make better decisions (my daughter is saving a lot of money, but my son spends frivilously). Since a lot of what they want are digital purchases, I drop the cash in my account, and this keeps track of their portion.
