About this app

NorCal Public Media App:

The NorCal Public Media App allows you to listen to KRCB Radio and watch KRCB TV, and find out what is on KPJK TV. You can explore On Demand content, search for programs, bookmark a program for later, and wake up to NorCal with the alarm clock!

• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the audio live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from KRCB FM even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• Integrated program schedules for all the NorCal streams!
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to KRCB FM in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!
• Watch the KRCB TV livestream 24/7 featuring your favorite public television programs.

On Demand
• Access NorCal’s programs easily and quickly.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.

This app does not stop playing when I close it. I have to first hit pause before closing it ( no other app that I use behaves this way). Also it's still sometimes continues to play when I activate other features on my phone where I need to be listening or speaking for the microphone. I would like it to be more seamless

Great job on delivering the music! I'm having a hard time getting it to stay off when I turn it off! I do everything I can think of including shutting all open windows. But it keeps turning back on!

Sadly I just had to uninstall NorCal Public Media App because it kept running even when not in use, even when force stop pressed, even when manually disabled, and supposedly unopened, even when all data deleted, Cell logged hundreds of tracking attempts by supposedly disabled app with all data deleted. What a pity as I was looking forward to streaming KCRB, but I would advise prospective users to avoid this app until data mining programming is deleted. Until then, use a browser for KCRB

The notification panel media player is managed by the Android operating system and represents a list of recently used media players. This does not indicate that the app is running, etc. just a list of recently played media content. Please let me know if I have misunderstood your question or if you would like to discuss further.
