About this app

Squash quickly and easily summarizes web pages, news and finance articles, Facebook posts, emails, blog posts and other apps. Squash extracts the major points and provides a 4 or 8 sentence synopsis for easy reading. Plus, in just one click, you can share your summary via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, text messaging, email and more. Squash is similar to Summly, Trimit, and Wavii. However, it can summarize and share any text, not just news from a few sources. Squash can provide a news summary from any online newspaper or magazine including NBC News, Fox News, the Washington Post, and USA Today.

Lengthy texts are difficult to read on smart phones. Content is often formatted for a large screen. Smartphone users must perform a combination of tedious zoom and scroll operations to navigate the text. Advertisements interrupt the text flow. Squash is today's solution. It makes it possible for the smartphone user to quickly digest key concepts in content that was designed to be viewed on a larger screen. Squash presents a synopsis that is short, easy to read, and formatted specifically for phones and tablets. It can even read the summary aloud.
Squash performs text analysis using a remarkably fast combination of multivariate statistics and natural language processing. Squash can often generate a summary faster than it takes a user to load a webpage with its accompanying graphics and advertising. It has been tested with thousands of articles from CNN, BBC News, NPR News, the Huffington Post, Yahoo!, and the New York Times.

Squash takes full advantage of Android's "Share With" feature and integrates well with today's most popular Android apps. Simply select the "Share Summary" menu item to make your summary available through social networking apps, messaging, email and more. When Squash is launched from another application such as Facebook with Android's "Share With" feature, it will automatically display a concise summary of the shared text. If you need to summarize from an app that does not support Android's "Share With" feature, just copy the text to the clipboard and open Squash. Squash will automatically present you with a four sentence abstract of the clipboard's contents. Integration with Android’s sharing features makes Squash a perfect complement to Google News, the Nook app, World Newspapers, Flipboard, Reddit, Feedly, Pulse news and Firefox.

Squash is free and fully functional. You will find Squash easy and fun to use. If you have questions or comments about Squash, please email us at support@software995.com. We will be happy to help you.
