About this app

Communication application over a local WiFi network.

Once connected on a WiFi network, select a channel, and start talking.

Press and hold the mic button to talk.

NOTE: some phones do not work correctly receiving UDP broadcast packets, such as:

http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=8407

So, this application is not compatible with those phones.

After the first update an error would come up saying that I'm not connected to an AP (I'm sure it is. There's even an online ad showing in the app). After the second one, error message disappeared but still doesn't work. On Xperia Neo L.

Some phones do not support receiving of UDP broadcast messages. I assume this is the cause why it doesnt work. Maybe you can try using a regular WiFi router instead of AP?

Whack!! Another program a waste of my time... Nothing works nobody is on it why I even put something on here that don't work.. I shouldn't even give you one star if there was an option to give you no stars I would.. Plus on top of it I got an error message, saying ATS g5 is saving it in a voox folder??? What is that when I try to delete voox it says cannot be deleted at this time. It's taking up my memory

the communication is between devices that are on the same wifi network, it is not globally on the internet. the point is to simulate walkie talkie over wifi, not to implement a radio station of some kind.

What's new

2.0
New graphical design
Half/Full duplex communication
PTT and Toggle mode for transmitting
WiFi Hotspot supported (you can use one of the phones as a WiFi AP)
2.1
fixed sound transmission quality
2.2
Now you can change backgrounds on the button in the lower right corner
The WiFi Talkie new works in the background and in sleep mode
