Delhi Metro Rail app provides the customers of metro services with lot of useful information that helps in using the Metro Services. Following are the different sections in the app and the information available in them.
Plan Your Journey- Selecting the starting and destination stations will display the route map based on Shortest Route or Min. Interchange. Simply SWIPE UP on the route map screen to see the Fare, Platform, Approximate Travel time, Stations in between along with change over station.
Station Info – Selecting a station will give you various useful information about the station like First and Last train timings, Platforms, Gates and directions, contact numbers, Tourist spots near that station, parking, feeder services etc.
Nearest metro station – This section will show you the nearest metro stations from your current GPS location. Please note the distance is the straight line distance between Lat/Lon.
Other sections i.e. Tour guide, Metro Museum, Lost and found and Other info will give various other useful information to the user.

The offline metro map is not available that makes the planning of a trip very difficult. We are always not sure of which station we would want to board and deboard. The metro map makes it convenient. Also not having an offline facility will make it difficult for users in times of emergency. Please make the app simple to use for the common citizen. The app had been good for years but recent changes and updates are only making it difficult for the user. We need a simple and informative app.

They claim to make the app better but the reality is absolutely opposite. Metro map has been omitted! The most frequently used feature is not available at all. The focus has shifted to make it a shopping app instead. The previous update made the app inaccessible without internet! The developer was so inexperienced that he didn't know that internet is unavailable in the underground lines! Now the map has been deleted!! The very first app 5 years ago was the best. Currently useless........

Since the latest 2.O update, the app has become absolutely non functional. When the app starts, the pages don't even load up & the options doesn't appear. First page is entirely blank while rest keeps on buffering. No matter how many times I've restarted or reinstalled, it's the same. I'm on 5G and others run fine. This app is something that's meant to be easier to use and navigate on a daily basis. There's no point in keeping it without the usability. No option but to go for an alternative now.
