About this app

The Grace Digital Controller app works with the new Grace Digital Mondo+. (The Controller app does not work with the previous Mondo, or other legacy Grace Digital radios). The Grace Controller manages the features of the Mondo+ including changing stations, volume change, setting alarms, as well as grouping of radios for a multi-room audio synchronized music system.

June 2023 no updates to this buggy app for 2 yrs. Mondo Elite radio would be good IF the app was taken seriously. 7 out of 10 times when I open the app, it will not connect to the radio on the same wifi network. Sometimes it will reconnect if I close the app and reopen it, but often the app won't connect at all. The radio has a limited interface and the app is necessary to control it, especially if typing a name into the search. *App not able to save favorites or set sleep timer--ridiculous.

Does what it says: it controls the Mondo+ from Android. The UI is a bit dated, but then it's basically just showing menus of the same options as on the player itself, so I don't really expect much. That said, the UI of the whole system is a bit cumbersome; there are too many layers of menus, and you can't save stations from the player nor the Android app (you have to use the web site, and search all over again for what you just found on the player or in the app). Adjusting the volume is a hassle since you have to use a volume slider, and it's only present on a couple screens (top-level player selection, and the now-playing screen). It's hard to make fine adjustments using a slider UI. Grace: please just give us up/down volume controls using the Android volume buttons, and show feedback of the volume setting. Another annoyance is that even though I only have one Mondo+, I have to select the player every time I run the app (or after it occasionally disconnects). It should start at the home menu or now-playing screen of the last-used player. The links to the Chromecast apps are worthless, and only add to the clutter. I'll just start Pandora, etc. from the launcher, thank you.

Vast improvement over the original Grace digital app. The only thing I would change though is the way when opening the app you have to go from homepage to a menu and then choose presets from the list. Most of the time the reason you would be using the app is to get to the presets. Especially since you can save up to 100. I would have the app open to the preset list. Minor problem I admit. But it would make for a smoother app.
