From an app perspective, it's solid in terms of organization and UI. From a price standpoint, it's 1 star ridiculous. Without an overpriced subscription, one can only read the front page stories. For all the other sections, one just has to search Google for the subject story and almost certainly find it for free from multiple other news source. To have to pay $40 a year for very little original content is insulting. As it's partially partially subsidized by the US gov (taxpayers), I would think $12 a year maximum (with no ads) and free with ads would be fair. Otherwise it's a 1 star rip-off.

I also have the problem where I can sign in using a web browser, but Android only crashes. I submitted a crash report through the app and quickly received a response that informed me that I needed at least android 8.0 (I have 9.0), and app version 4.4.2 (which is the iOS version) while the Google Play store has 2.2 7. I sent back a reply informing them of this, and haven't heard anything back yet (5 days now). Android support seems to be lacking when they refer you to "that other system".

We are sorry for the trouble. We recently released updated versions of our Android app (ver 2.2.9). The latest version of our Android app is available at the Google Play Store and is compatible with Android devices 8.0 and higher.

Disappointed, I have a digital subscription and can sign in on the website however, cannot sign in on the app. Have cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled but neither works. Why have an app if you can't sign in with your account info. I did email member services on 14 March 2020, have not received a response. UPDATE: Fixed my login issues, all is good. Great app for folks living overseas in military community.
