For General Use: Your new 'Smart Home' with the easy automation from SwitchBox. Remote control your heating, lighting and air conditioning, from anywhere in the world. TIP: Turn On the A/C before you get home, or check to see if you left the lights On and turn them Off. Save Money!
For Pilots: No more driving to the airport hours before a flight. Turn on your Engine Heater from your cellphone, and simplify your cold flying routine! TIP: Activate a 2nd device like a Cabin Heater for your sensitive avionics, or a Coffee Maker before you arrive!
The SwitchBox contains electrical switches (max total power 1800W), which activate and Power On/Off connected electrical devices. Text Messages control these connected devices, and sustain or interrupt continuous power to them.

Was buggy at first, and eventually it became impossible to turn on & off the switchbox. Not a hardware problem, I downloaded the App "GSM Control" for android, works perfectly. I wish the SwitchBox owners would update their app, it would make this a great combo.

A nice feature of this app is that it accurately displays the status of the switchbox unit, which I share with 3 other users. However, it still crashes when I try to edit the switchbox info (we had to get a new sim card for ours), and since deleting the old one, it won't let me edit the details on the new one. It keeps defaulting to "Switch Box". This makes the app useless to me.

I have had occasional probs with the app, after phone system updates or forgetting a password. The app gets 4 stars, but customer support is exceptional. Quick response, helpful and friendly. Got my problem resolved same evening, above and beyond my expectations.
