Climate Access Look Ahead SF

Experience the City of San Francisco through virtual reality!

Take a 360° tour of three city sites at risk from sea-level rise and find out what is possible with climate action through the Look Ahead – San Francisco app. Each site has three visualizations showing: current flooding levels, future flooding level if climate action is not taken, and the future that is possible with climate action.

Visit the sites in-person to get the full experience! Look for the colorful Look Ahead signs to ensure you are standing in the optimal viewing location.

Interact with the virtual environment by tapping on colorful icons to reveal facts about sea-level rise risks and possible responses at that location, and to answer survey questions to share your concerns and ideas directly with city planners and elected officials. Turn around 360° to get the full experience and click the “next” icon to advance from one visualization to the next.

The app also provides links to San Francisco’s programs and projects that you can get involved in to reduce your individual carbon footprint, and join fellow citizens in building the climate movement for a more sustainable future. Your participation in the app helps to support the City’s public engagement and planning around climate change.
