About this app

First, setup the number of fingers that you desire to choose or how many groups you want to group, then place all your fingers on the screen and wait. Chwazi will make your choice automatically.

Chwazi is a funny and interactive way to randomly select someone from a group of people. It doesn't matter if the question is "Who will pay the bill", Who will buy bread", Chwazi is the right choice.

Note that the maximum number of fingers supported by Chwazi is 32, however, the maximum accepted depends on each device. Usually, it's around 5 to 10.

Bug or feature? I started noticing patterns, so I ran tests with four fingers. In none of them did the first finger on the phone screen get selected. The numbers were within expected limits for randomness on the others (second = 10, third = 13, fourth = 8). Seems to me like a bug. For playing games, this may actually be a feature. People like going first, so you can ensure that you as the host are not chosen. If using this, as suggested, to decide who pays the bill, this seems like an underhanded backdoor.

This has been board gaming's gold-standard first-player chooser for years. Could use a few updates to stay on top: 1) a mode for random turn orders 2) a fullscreen mode on foldables to take advantage of all the real estate. On my Pixel Fold in open configuration, the app only detected fingers in the middle third of the screen and with the black app background on black screen it was not obvious that some fingers were ignored.

originally downloaded to decide who goes first in board games or card games, which it's perfect for. I've used this to decide whether or not to call out of work, which restaurant to go to, which haircut to get, and more! This had become such a staple of game nights that it's the short cut on my tablets lock screen. Never had a problem with it, the visuals and sounds are really pleasant too.
