This free application allows you to listen to Radio Swiss Classic on your mobile device whenever you feel like it and no matter where you are. Radio Swiss Classic is a non-commercial radio station playing a large selection of first-rate classical music 24 hours a day. The station is completely free of advertisement and the only talk to be heard on Radio Swiss Classic are brief announcements of the titles that are about to be played. The music programme consists of 4,000 tracks. On average, around 50% of the music has a connection to Switzerland.

The music selection is excellent and varied. Unfortunately, the station has issues with streaming which has continued cracks every few seconds. At first you might think it is a recording from an old vinyl disk, but it happens with all content, and it becomes very annoying over time. It is not limited to the app, it also happens on the website, so it is not the app itself, but the streaming service. Update: 2024-02-09 the problem with the cracking in the stream is still not solved!

There is no classical music station in San Diego. This app is a life saver. I love.the German intro of each piece, repeated at the end. There is also list of current, past and coming up pieces with composer to check if you can't understand the German language. I listen all day. It shuts off for a phone call then returns There's a version with an alarm too.

Since many years I've been listening to this radio station and since a couple of years via the app. The new version of the app is however a big disappointment compared to the previous one, where one could believe feedback to every music track, put the favorite one(s) on a notifiable schedule and also listen to a short sample of any music in the archive, despite the fact if it's playing now or not. Yes, those were the golden days of this application.
