DANGER!!! Used for years, no problem. Then suddenly, 8 out of 10 hidden folders failed to restore. Search for .hider extension as suggested but no luck. Lost everything in those folders. Developer needs to fix app fast or remove from store. The fact the developer has known this has been a problem for years and has not fixed it or removed it, sounds like a lawsuit to me.

Lost my files in one folder! GONE! To the developer: How do I recover some files I lost when using File Hide Pro? I was using File Hide Pro to restore some folders (unhide folders), then the app suddenly shut down, and I lost one folder and all its contents. Now I can find the folder on File Manager. But it is empty. All the files are lost. How do I recover back the folder? The folder and it's files are in the phone storage. OPPO Reno7 Z 5G, Android 12.

Keeps deleting hidden file!! update to your reply: I am not a 4 year old who cannot find these .hider files. I've read your previous suggestions to other users and tried searching those missing files. But as I said, these files are physically missing! No trace in the recovery area as well!!!! I have no way of recovering them as they were stored in internal memory!! The app seems to delete files automatically without consent!!!

search the folder /mnt/sdcard/.hermit/recovery_area for the files with .hider extension. And then create a new folder somewhere and move all those hidden files into it. You can re-hide that folder and then unhide it in the app. You can also manually rename the files by removing the .hider extension if there are just several files.
