About this app

V1connection, the app, directly links the new Valentine One Generation 2 detector to your compatible Android device. It also links the now-superseded Valentine One w/ESP detector through either of two optional Bluetooth modules, called V1connection and V1connection LE. See the Threat Picture, a breakthrough in analyzing radar threats. Screen out false alarms with our game-changing Arrow-in-the-Box concept. Every signal on every band gets its own directional arrow and frequency readout. Flashing arrow points to the Priority Alert. New: eSAVVY lets you set a speed below which all new warnings will be muted. The app brings Dark Mode, Muting, and new programming options. Lets you relocate V1’s front-panel warning to an eyes-only location. Downloads and upgrades are free. Demo Mode lets you see the Threat Picture at no cost.

NEW FEATURE—DOWNLOADABLE PERFORMANCE UPGRADES FOR V1 GEN2
V1 Gen2 firmware upgrades are downloadable only through this app; downloadable upgrades are incompatible with superseded V1 models.

YOU’LL SEE THE THREAT PICTURE
See our exclusive Radar Locator with its illuminated arrows pointing toward each threat as the Bogey Counter tracks multiple threats. And now the app shows you a revolutionary new way of analyzing radar threats.

ARROW IN THE BOX
Radar makers, under penalty of law, must certify to the FCC the frequencies used by the equipment they sell. We constantly monitor those certifications so we know exactly where real radar operates on each band. V1 scans the entire width of all radar bands but to draw your attention to the Active Radar Zones, we outline them with a yellow Box. To be in compliance with federal regulations, all radars (except photo) must operate “in the Box.” When you see an arrow outside the Box, that’s probably a false alarm; when it’s in the Box, take the threat seriously until you’ve positively identified it.

ADVANCED SITUATION AWARENESS
The Threat Picture (aka Picture Screen) displays the entire battlefield and all the radar activity on it. You get threat location two ways: red arrows point to each threat, ahead, beside or behind your car; and where its frequency places in on the radar band. There is a separate arrow for each threat within range.

SITUATION AWARENESS FOUR WAYS
Choose among four information screens at any time. The Quad Screen emphasizes location with up to four separate arrow sets, one for each enabled radar band, or one for laser if fewer radar bands are active. The V1 Screen reproduces V1’s front-panel warnings including signal strength, Bogey Counter and Radar Locator plus frequency of the Priority Alert. Or you can choose the (Threat) Picture Screen or the Threat List, which shows a list of all signals within range, each accompanied by band, frequency and an arrow to show direction. The list order is arranged according to time tracked, newest signal at the top. A flashing arrow marks the Priority Alert and a yellow “Box” symbol indicates “in the Box.”

BEYOND SITUATION AWARENESS
Think of V1connection, the app, as the Master Controller for your V1 system. You can revise programming, change muting, activate dark mode, and save custom programming profiles for different trips.
The audible warnings of your Valentine One can now be transmitted through your phone to your car's sound system, or to speakers in your helmet if you are a motorcyclist. Any other hook-up that allows you to hear your phone can also bring V1's warnings directly to your ear.

NEW PROGRAMMING OPTIONS
Radar coverage can now be specially tailored to the unique radar bands used outside the U.S. Advanced users may want to tailor the sweeps covering frequencies used here in the U.S. according to unique local conditions. The Profiles screen shows a menu of the variables you can modify.

THE APP IS FREE
Just download this free app to communicate directly with V1 Gen2. For V1 w/ESP, you’ll need to purchase a Bluetooth communication module, either V1connection or V1connection LE.

App Works great right from the start and my phone is a piece of shi@! . No connectivity issues. BT syncs right up to the detector Everytime. So far my only gripe is the color combo makes some of the fonts hard to read like the dismiss message for example. But that's me really going out of my way to complain. My phone sits right in front of my shifter and having the ability to black out the screen on the detector and mute it just by using my phone and not stretching to reach the detector is great

Works well, but attempts pairing with last V1 detector that the app connected when starting the app. Since I have detectors in two different vehicles, if I change cars I have to cancel pairing. It then connects with a tap of the Bluetooth symbol. PLEASE make this work through android auto, that would be amazing!

It simply does not work! I have been stuck in Demo mode for weeks. I was told it would take 24 hours to eventually connect. Not true! I have Samsung Galaxy 10e Android phone. Tried installing app several times, makes no difference. Under Bluetooth I select my V1 Gen 2, it says pairing, Bluetooth symbol is illuminated on V1, says app is required, open V1 Connection, the app, and it is ALWAYS stuck in DEMO MODE!!!! This app sucks!
