About this app

A reflected light meter with spot metering (using the device's camera) and an incident light meter (using the device's light sensor) in one app. Tested accurate against Gossen and Sekonic meters on most devices.

Can be used for any type of camera from film SLR to pinhole to cinematographic.

In addition to the two meters, the app includes a Color Temperature (White Balance) meter, a Reciprocity Calculator, an Exposure Convert, a Manual (Sunny Sixteen) calculator, a Depth of Field calculator, and an EXIF Reader.

Let it be known, I am not a good photographer. But with this app I have one less excuse for being a bad photographer! I highly advise purchasing the app for the full features offered. The reciprocity failure section and being able to save gear for quick reference is invaluable. The app is very accurate (at least on my phone) and costs less than 1/10 of a light meter.

I love it. Very helpful for using old cameras that have no meter to start with, have a dead meter , or who's meter you just don't trust due to age. The app offers lots of helpful features however one issue I sometimes have is responsiveness. I'll change something and the numbers take half a minute to change . Another issue is that the app is easily thrown off by the sky , but plenty of meters have that issue so it's not a major concern.

Under sensor preferences you set the app to read max value which turns it into a flash meter. A quick test revealed the app has good accuracy. The app also has an adjustment so you can calibrate it which I intend to do later. My phone has to be in legacy mode which slows spot metering. Also the app is locked on aperture priority (set aperture and iso and the app tells you shutter speed). The app is very good but the app could use shutter and iso priority. I lost my professional light meter to a flood but intend to replace it with this app.
