UPDATE - 8/14/2019: Push notifications are no longer working; this seems to be a common issue reported in the past couple weeks. It may be tied to the Android security patch dated 8/1 - mine stopped working as soon as I installed that update. I reached out to Y-Cam customer service over the weekend, but have yet to receive a response. Thankfully email notifications are working, but this app is still wildly unreliable. Notifications work properly most of the time, but actually opening the app and trying to watch video clips almost always crashes the app.

The camera itself is good. The app must have been made, in the dark, by invisible fish!!! The app never opens. I've have extremely cheap cameras with better software. I don't think the developers even test anything they do. So, without a working app, the camera is useless. It won't connect well to wifi. I gotta amazing internet. I know this, because of the devices I've used with it. The user manual is small with not much in it. There's no cables that would allow me to just connect the camera to my phone. Having software install this way, plus a wired connection, would make more sense. This app doesn't even deserve 1 star.

This system is quite awful! The camera is often unable to show a live view, and even though I am alerted that a snapshot has been taken - only sometimes is that snapshot available to view. Camera has to be rebooted at least once a week otherwise it stops working altogether. The motion detector is random and bears little resemblance to the position of the sensing window. I have had a replacement camera which is just as bad. The Humax equivalent is superb and has never given any trouble.
