This is the first time I've rented with ouicar. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use. I first booked and paid for a local car which was the instantaneous booking ( don't have to ask owner first ). I hadn't checked my mails for a day and didn't realise that they cancelled my booking, so then had to go again. I then realised you had to ask the owners to accept your booking. I would recommend that people look a bit in advance.

What a complete pain. You will get extra cleaning charges for a normal use of a car that you would never get from a car rental company and after getting a flat tire have to go through a whole series of insurance junk. For a flat tire on a car from 97. Come on! This stuff should just be dealt with without hassle. The amount of time wasted on this will cost more than just fixing the damn thing. Of course I am sure I will get another charge. Go to a rental company or any other service like this

Unfortunately the site still don't know how to manage the bad profiles. The day ouicar will find a way to filter and exclude the adventurers that only want to use the platform to propose old junks to make as money as possible before inscribing with a new profile, then, at that moment, I will recommend ouicar. Until that, it is a risky platform. I messed up two summer vacations trusting ouicar. No investment in quality investigation (of the owners and their cars), no way to compete with rental co
