The pen is cool, but the app is useless. I cannot connect the app to the pen and cannot view the tutorials. The gallery leads to a 'page not found'. Nothing really works except for the templates list.

Looks like both the iOS and Android apps were abandoned. Don't use or update firmware or your device will apparently get bricked from what others report. The 3DSimo tools are still being sold, and they can work standalone. I've also heard reports that there's no response from support, so expect to fly solo and get no support if have this tool. Ask other users for help on social media at best.

3D tool is amazing but needs more work, a faulty software patch (yes, they release updates for the tools you buy) it broke. But yeah, if your current version of the software is stable don't update until some time has passed
