About this app

The most easiest mobile calculation of tightening and loading of screw joints for reliable engineering of screw joints.

The App is based on worldwide approach of guideline VDI 2230. Just select minimum of parameters and see the resulting tightening diagram as well as the force elongation diagram. As a small version of the huge software package Screw-Designer it follows the same input strategy: starting with default values and refining to the own application.

An elastic tightening specification is provided for your screw selection which san be modified. Corresponding safety-factors are provided for tightening and operating state.

With this convenient tool it is possible to make a fast pre-design of your fastening systems. For limitations see help section of Screw-Designer Basic. If you have to engineer a fastening system in detail, use Screw-Designer full version or contact us, because optimized fastening systems are getting more and more important and can save a lot of money.

New: Factor-approach to preload relaxation. It extents the traditional preload loss by seating. Resulting from this much more reliability is achieved, especially when using light materials and/or high preload level.

Units can be changed between metric and imperial, so a comparison of thread systems is easy.

Following thread profiles are covered:
M3 - M64 (coarse and fine), MJ, UNC, UNF, UNJF

Following materials for the screw can be selected:
Steel 4.8 - 16.8, Aluminum

Following materials for clamped part can be selected:
Steel, Aluminum, Cast Iron, Magnesium, Plastics

I would have rated 5, if there is an option to input size of the screws manually.

good for bolts (TBJ) but the studs (TTJ) are missing
