The full version of mobile Flora Helvetica offers photographs and listings of more than 3300 species found in Switzerland and facilitates their identification using a multi-criteria key. This key makes the determination possible with a choice of simple criteria. The Pro version also offers the classic dichotomous key.

The listings species are decorated with photographs, distribution maps and descriptive text. In a field notebook can save its own floristic observations with a specific geographic location and transmit them to the national data center Info Flora. It allows in addition to manage a list of favorites and enrich observations with photos and personal notes.

The listings of species have been written and compiled by Gerhart Wagner and Andreas Gygax. The vast majority of the photographs are of Konrad Lauber.


FUNCTIONS

Cash & Filter
The list of species can be explored simply by flipping, but also using the integrated search function. With the filter, you can add more criteria to the search function, such as the flowering period, the distribution by region or the family or genus. The kind of names can be displayed in scientific Latin or French (or German depending on the version), the list itself can be sorted alphabetically or according to the representative species number the systematic order of the printed work .

Determine
dichotomous key: by deciding step by step between two proposed questions or features, it is possible to identify the species sought. At any time you can interrupt the process of determining and displaying the remaining species that correspond to the selected characteristics.
Key multi-criteria: the choice of criteria and their combinatorics, the list of species is defined as and measurement. The more you increase the number of descriptive criteria, the more accurate will be the level of determination. Colored dots show you how the selected criterion is adapted to identify the species sought. At any time you can stop the determination to view the species selection criteria.

Field Book & Observations
Using the data collector, you can enrich the application with your own photos and floral notes. The observations are recorded with their geographical coordinates and can be exported by email to your personal address. They can also be sent to info Flora, the form provided for this purpose is proposed in addition to the fast entry method personal observations.
