The Franz Marc Museum in Kochel am See is the work of Franz Marc's extended perspective: The protagonist and namesake of the museum is placed in the context of 20th-century art. Here Franz Marc in a dialogue with artists such as Paul Klee and Else Lasker-Schüler, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Max Beckmann occurs but also with contemporary artists such as Joseph Beuys, Per Kirkeby and Georg Baselitz.
