Romantik Rhein Main

The free smartphone app "Romantik Rhein Main" is your mobile companion in the era of romance. It presents places and protagonists of the region from the perspective of the time around 1800. At around 180 stations, the new beginnings and ideas of a cultural-historical movement that unfolded in Jena and Heidelberg, Dresden and Berlin, Vienna and Munich as well as in what is now the state of Hesse are illustrated.

The new "Romantic Rhine Main" with simple navigation builds on the previous version "Impulse Romantic". It was published in 2013 by the State Palaces and Gardens with generous financial support from the Kulturfonds ‘Frankfurt RheinMain. The German Romantic Museum in Frankfurt am Main took part in the relaunch of the app in 2020. In terms of this cooperation, it has been enriched in terms of content and continues to trace this time.

FEATURES:
A-Z - All sights and important representatives in words, pictures and audios. Get to know various aspects of Romanticism in overview presentations, with background information and through short biographies.

MAP - An overview map, divided into eight regional focuses. They make it easier for you to access the places of remembrance of the era. An around me button shows your position, the GPS function constantly tracks your current positions.

TOURS - Thematically sorted tours into the romance as well as tours and walks. They supplement the features of the app with offers for short or more intensive excursions into the past.
