KABU is an app that prepares content for children of primary school age in an entertaining and educational way.
It is free and ad-free and was designed by a media education team.
The app conveys knowledge on the safe use of digital media, provides child-friendly information on exciting topics and provides entertaining puzzle games.
The motto is: "from children for children". The contributions are made by a children's editorial team under pedagogical guidance.
CONTENT:
New content appears regularly, divided into six categories:
- "Tips and Tricks" provides ideas and suggestions, for example for safe media use.
- "Game and Quiz" includes digital games and analog game ideas.
“Join in” encourages children's participation in the form of surveys or votes.
- "Interesting facts" contain exciting information on interesting topics.
- "Media tips" presents recommended apps, books, games or websites.
- “Creative” gives ideas for tinkering, painting and designing.

The app is a project of the non-profit media education specialist "SIN - Studio im Netz e.V." from Munich.
