Istan is a municipality in the region of the Costa del Sol and the Sierra de las Nieves whose lands deep into the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park declared a Biosphere Reserve. Through its territory runs the Verde River, before reaching the reservoir of Conception through exceptional places like the Charco del Canalón or Dehesa de Bornoque. In the midst of this paradise and surrounded by the Sierra Blanca and Real town, replete with fountains, gazebos and picturesque corners interlocks. Istan is known by the nickname 'Manantial de la Costa del Sol'.

Istan is 80 kilometers from Malaga and 15 kilometers from Puerto Banus. Given its proximity to the coastline, the journey from the coast can be done from the highway in just 20 minutes, enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain road.
