The National Gustave Moreau museum:
Housed in the family home of the painter and opened in 1903, the museum was entirely designed by Gustave Moreau (1826-1898). On 4 levels, it presents an original museum in hundreds of paintings, watercolors, and no less than four thousand drawings, giving a broad overview of the techniques and subjects of the man who was the master of French Symbolism. The painter of the apartments are also open to visitors. unique home-studio in Paris, Gustave Moreau National Museum has preserved its original atmosphere. It is located in the heart of New Athens, in the 9th district at the foot of Montmartre.
