The Shinkin Account Opening App (official name: Shinkin Bank Account Opening App) allows you to apply for opening an account with a Shinkin bank by scanning your My Number card with your smartphone or taking a photo of your driver's license, etc. with your smartphone and sending it along with the necessary information. This is an app that allows you to (This app can be used for free, but communication charges incurred when using it are the responsibility of the customer.)

■Application process
1. Download the app.
2. Launch the app and select your credit union.
3. Select your identity verification method from reading your My Number card or taking a photo of your driver's license. (The identity verification methods you can choose will vary depending on the credit union you apply to.)
4. We will verify your identity.

・Enter the electronic certificate for signing your My Number Card and read it with your smartphone.

- Phone number authentication using SMS (Short Message Service).
・We will take a photo of your driver's license and seal impression, or your driver's license (this will vary depending on the credit union you apply to).
5. Enter the customer information required to open an account.
6. Apply for internet banking. (Whether or not you have to apply for internet banking depends on the credit union you apply for.)
7. Your application is complete.

■Notes on usage
In order to prevent fraudulent account opening applications, we have provided the following functions within the app.
・Telephone number authentication using SMS (Short Message Service) as part of identity verification
・Limit the number of applications that can be made to the same credit union from one mobile phone number to one time.
- Restrict SMS sending if multiple SMS are sent in a short period of time
