Air Pollution Information Application of ‘K Weather’, “AirGuard K”


We provide air environment live information provided by the Korea Environment Corporation and K-Weather's unique air pollution forecast.
In addition, air pollution forecasts and lifestyle forecasts, etc., are produced through K-Weather's own forecasts, allowing you to easily and detailed air information.

• My local weather
   - Supports up to 5 additional functions in my area, and provides live weather information and today/tomorrow forecast for the selected area.

• Waiting in my area
   - Supports up to 5 additional functions in my area, and provides live air environment information and today/tomorrow forecast for the selected area.

• National air forecast
   - As K-Weather's own forecast, it provides two-day forecasts of fine dust / ultrafine dust / yellow dust / ozone / ultraviolet light for 17 regions nationwide. In addition, you can check more detailed waiting information through the notice issued twice a day.

• Air Guard K observation information
   - You can check the observation information measured with the K-Weather OAQ station.

• National observation information
   - You can check the national integrated atmospheric environment / fine dust / ozone status provided by the Korea Environment Corporation.
   - You can check the information of 317 measuring stations nationwide at a glance through the map.

• broadcast
  - You can watch air pollution forecast broadcasts and lifestyle forecasts produced by K Weather.

• My K
  - Added My K function for AirGuard K IAQ Station users.
    1. Indoor observation information: Provides the actual measurement / index value of 6 indoor environmental pollutants measured by the IAQ Station, including temperature, humidity, fine dust, CO2, VOCs, and noise, and suggests actions accordingly.

    2. Indoor integrated comfort index: This is an expression method developed in consideration of the effects of various factors on the human body and the degree of contamination in the indoor environment. The index is calculated by applying weights according to the degree to which the six factors observed indoors affect the comfort level, and action tips for improving the indoor environment are presented.

    3. Indoor/Outdoor Comparison: Compare and analyze the current indoor observation value measured by IAQ Station with the real-time outdoor observation value provided by K Weather for the three factors of fine dust, temperature, and humidity for the optimal indoor environment. We provide solutions.

    4. Regional Forecast: This is the forecast function provided by K Weather. It helps to systematically manage indoor environment by providing various atmospheric forecasts of fine dust, temperature / general condition, humidity, and precipitation.

   5. Personalized Push Notifications: Along with the default push notifications for pollutants, a personalized notification function is included where the individual decides the notification level. This allows users to receive push notifications tailored to their needs based on their individual propensity and health status.


▶ Frequently Asked Questions
• Tell us about your app access rights.
    1) Device ID and call information (required access rights)
     - K-Weather does not receive 'call information' out of the above two items, only 'device ID' is used. Device ID information is required for the push service (notification function). Just as you need to know your home address to send a letter, you need to know your device ID to send a push, so we check device ID information.
Call information is displayed together in the process of obtaining device ID, but we inform you that K Weather does not use or verify call information separately.


    2) Device and app history (required access)
     - If you look at the device and app history, it is written that the AirGuard K app allows at least one of ① device activity information, ② running apps, ③ internet activity history, and ④ bookmarks. Check. This is to check whether the push is on when the AirGuard K app is running, or whether the push is on when the app is off. When the AirGuard K app is turned off, the app should not be turned on when a push is received, so please check the information.


    3) ID (required access rights)
     - Like item 1, check 'Device ID' to send push.


    4) Location (required access rights)
     - Used to search for your current location within the AirGaurd K app. It is not stored separately on the server and is checked only when searching for the current location.


    5) Photos/Media/Files (required access rights)
     - Among the three items, only 'files' are used, not photos/media. This is used to save the region setting/notification setting information entered by the user as a file.


• I can't see the softkeys at the bottom of the screen/can't quit the app.
    For terminals released by LG Electronics, softkeys may not be visible. If you swipe up from the bottom of the screen or swipe down from the top clock area, the softkey at the bottom will be displayed again, so please refer to the service usage.
