Focus Taiwan’s free news app is the top source of English-language coverage of all things Taiwan, from breaking news to politics, business, technology, sports, culture and much more.
The updated app maintains a similar look to the Focus Taiwan website, but also has a "Media" section, which includes a playlist of the latest 30 news stories in audio and video formats.
In addition to scrolling up and down to read articles and lists of news headlines, mobile device users can also swipe right or left to browse different news categories and articles.
The updated app allows users to bookmark articles and videos in the new "My Stories" feature which can be found in the "Menu" section.
Users will be able to choose the font size and layout of the page to suit their reading habits from the "Menu" section and are welcome to leave reviews or contact Focus Taiwan with feedback.

After a month all the story headlines are still there but now instead of being able to read them a solid black bar covers the story as you scroll down. There is nothing in help or setting that helps the user get rid of the black bar covering the stories. I like the service and have enjoyed the articles but this black bar is very annoying and frustrating.

This is an excellent, detailed reporting, english language current event app on all things Taiwan plus any related international news which in actuality is worldwide in scope. Keeps you informed of any local news, geographical and gastronomic events and occurences. I have knowledge of Taiwan local events sooner than generally most of the english speaking young Taiwanese employees (in reality theyre too busy to keep tabs!)

Good and neutral news in English. Unfortunately, all of the buttons for sharing, saving and listening to a news article, or going back to the overview from it, don't work most of the time.
