About this app

With version 4.4.0 of the app, which will be gradually introduced in all KINOPOLIS locations from March 2024, you can purchase tickets, snacks, drinks and merchandising products. To redeem tickets and pick up snacks & drinks, you can go directly to your cinema hall or to the snacks & drinks pick-up counter with the codes you have purchased. Waiting times on site are reduced to a minimum.

The biggest changes come when purchasing tickets. The best seats are selected automatically and directly after selecting the seat category, but of course you can also sit in the seats you want yourself. If you are unsure, you can place yourself in different positions in the hall using a 360 degree view to get a better feel for the real dimensions of the hall.

The entire ticket purchasing process will guide you through the new options. You can find out about and decide on the attractive combination offers (ticket and snacks/drinks) or supplement your ticket category individually with your culinary selection. You simply buy a cinema ticket and only decide on snacks/drinks in the cinema. If you have decided on snacks/drinks, you can prepare them yourself at any time and receive your products at the pick-up counter.

The various payment options and combinations are also new, so that you can combine vouchers for tickets and/or snacks with prepaid cards (such as CineCards or “The Cinema Voucher”) and also bonus points from the CineCard premium in one payment process. Payment with PayPal or credit card is still possible, or if there is still a balance outstanding after using the above-mentioned payment methods, it can be paid using these payment methods.

In cinemas with on-site service, you can go straight into the hall, order from your seat and have everything brought to you.

Other features, such as:
- Display of the hall occupancy in the game plan
- Collect and redeem bonus points (if you are a member of the CineCard premium club)
- Share your visit to the cinema with friends via Facebook and Whatsapp
- Easy login via fingerprint (Touch ID), PIN or with email address or customer card
- Storing tickets in the wallet
- Current cinema program in the desired format, e.g. films in list or poster view, whether daily or weekly overview
- Detailed information about all films (including cast, trailer, running time, etc.)
- all information about current events
- Management of personal data, purchases and loyalty cards in "My Account
- Have the right gift for every occasion with our vouchers
- Voucher redemption possible directly via app including barcode scanner for vouchers (from iOS version 7)
- Information about the cinema and going to the cinema, such as directions, parking options, opening times and technical information about the cinema

Please note:
We are starting in March with the new app and the activation of all features in KINOPOLIS Giessen. The stores in Hamburg and Bad Homburg will then be added and in the following weeks all features will be available to all customers in all locations.

The payment wouldn't go through but I couldn't delete the order. It was not possible to manually select seats. I tried to order again and couldn't complete the order. Now I have 2 orders of 4 tickets and I do not believe either were successful and I'm not sure if I can bring all of the children to the cinema with no Tickets. This is the worst app I've ever tried to use.
