About this app

Samaritan exists to reveal the stories with those we pass everyday—the single mom on the bus, the grandfather on the street, or the homeless teen outside the supermarket—and help us respond well in these moments.

When you cross paths with a Samaritan Beacon Holder, a notification will appear on your phone. Tapping on the notification provides an opportunity to read about the person’s story or contribute $1 or more towards a needed good or service (such as food, fuel or clothing).

The app currently supports Beacon Holders in Seattle, WA only.

I look forward to it covering my area. I'm currently out of resources besides donating plasma but it's not enough to effectively keep a motel room. Personally I'm homeless and will be losing service on my phone soon. I'm desperately in search of anything I can do before I lose service.

Hi, When i log in with my Google login instead of providing an email password and try to use paypal as payment, it is throwing me an error saying 'no Customer ID is available to box in the payment' or sth like that. can you look into this? and thanks for a wonderful app!

I really like this app for many reasons. One in particular is that I can donate anonymously (or not if I choose). I think this is a clever idea and I hope it gets adopted in more locations by more people (donors and receivers).
