DRSM

The DRSM (Rights and Resources in Mental Health) is a mobile application developed by L’A-DROIT de Chaudière-Appalaches which has two main objectives:
1. Make accessible and popularize information on mental health rights
2. Offer a directory of resources available in the user's community, thanks to geolocation

The rights information section is categorized by subject and updated regularly, making it easy and quick for those who consult it to find what they are looking for. The application offers a voice reading option for its content, helping users with functional reading limitations (illiteracy, dyslexia, etc.) to develop their autonomy in knowing and defending their rights. Information on rights is also popularized in audio capsules produced by L’A-DROIT and quizzes on rights are offered to stimulate curiosity and engagement. The DRSM thus offers a new way of obtaining information on rights, promoting accessibility and understanding of information regardless of the age, life experience, training or limitations of the user.

The resource directory makes it possible to find the organizations serving the population according to the geographical position of the user. The latter can then choose the one that corresponds to their needs, since the application allows them to be sorted by mission (mental health, accommodation, defense of rights, crisis centres, etc.), and consult the associated information sheet. The interface allows you to contact the resource, consult its website or social networks and obtain the route to the resource, directly from your cell phone and therefore without any intermediary. After installing the application, the database is downloaded automatically and it is no longer necessary to be connected to the Internet to use the DRSM.

New at L'A-DROIT: The podcast "Le Préjugé Favorable" will make its debut before the end of 2022! Thus, you can listen to the episodes from the application or with the software of your choice.

With the DRSM, L’A-DROIT wants to give back the power to people to act to learn about their rights, have them respected and find help from community organizations in their region.
