If you take the Book of Mormon from Gospel Library app, you get thus one. I like that I can open straight to what I'm reading. While someone else may like all the extras the last update added (videos and such), I preferred the old way. I do wish I could download the audio so that I could listen offline. Both Gospel Library and this app will default to text & speech when offline, which I find annoying.

Has reading and/or listening options. A feature I REALLY like is when I reopen it, it takes me to the exact chapter where I stopped. Audio activation used to be more convenient but no biggie once I figured out the extra steps now required (wonder why that). Former narrators (Bruce Lindsay etc) were MUCH better. Also it has started cutting off narration at the end of the chapters. Used to be better, especially narrators, but still a great app that I'm grateful to have. No ads, easy on battery.

This app is meant to be less overwhelming and just be a helpful resource to those who are just learning about what the Church of Jesus Christ. It has the text translated into English at first, but you can change it to your preferred language. Also, if you press the top right, vertical "..." icon, and press "Related Content" then you'll get helpful visual aids like pictures and videos of what is going on in the scriptures you're reading. (This is a simplified version of the Gospel Library app.)
