About this app

Marsi Road displays a listing of open detox/recovery beds for those dependent on opioids, alcohol, and other drugs that produce physical dependence such as benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, klonopin, ativan, etc.). Also listed are doctors within the state that are licensed to prescribe Buprenorphine, as well as various recovery meetings across the state (SMART Recovery, NA, and AA). All listings are filterable.

The open beds listing is updated every 15 minutes on the MARSI servers and therefore within the app, the listing should be at most 15 minutes old. Only facilities that are listed on the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Access web site are listed. Also, not all providers update their bed counts on a regular basis, so you should always call first before heading into a facility.

The other listings are updated once a week on the MARSI servers as they do not likely change very often. The app only updates its lists after an appropriate expiration based on the server updates so as to save on our server load and on your monthly mobile data usage.

This app is supported entirely by the author and donors, and because it is backed by servers running in the "cloud" it does cost money each month to keep it running/alive. If you find this kind of app valuable to Massachusetts residents, please make a one time donation at:

There is no Greenfield, Ma option under AA. Greenfield has huge AA recovery. Just downloaded so can't give a more in depth review.

Was it NA, AA or SMART that had incorrect listings? Thanks!

I wish they would too! However, if it's opioids that are the issue for him, detox isn't considered the gold standard for opioid SUD and so you may want to start on one of the other tabs. https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/7/20/15937896/medication-assisted-treatment-methadone-buprenorphine-naltrexone

What's new

Fixing Opioid Treatment Program Tab that I accidentally left out of the 2.0 release.
