About this app

Use Firefox Focus for everything you want to keep separate from your main browser — for all those get in get out and forget about it moments. No tabs, no fuss, no muss. Block online trackers too. One tap, and your browsing history is completely destroyed.

Firefox Focus is the perfect get in/get out, search and destroy, I’m on a mission that’s none-of-your-business — web browser.

NEW DISTRACTION-FREE DESIGN
When you open Focus, you just get the awesome bar and the keyboard for super quick searching. That’s it. No recent history, no past sites, no open tabs, no ads trackers, no distractions. Just a simple, minimal design with menus that make sense.

ONE TAP TO DELETE HISTORY
Erase your history, passwords and cookies with just a tap of the trash button.

CREATE SHORTCUTS
Pin up to four shortcuts on your home screen. Get to your favorite site even quicker without typing anything.

FASTER BROWSING WITH AD BLOCKING & TRACKING PROTECTION
Firefox Focus blocks many ads you’d normally see on web pages due to our enhanced tracking protection so you get much faster page load speeds, which means you get to the stuff you want a lot faster. Focus blocks a wide range of trackers by default, including social trackers and those sticky ones that come from things like Facebook ads.

BACKED BY A NON-PROFIT
Firefox Focus is backed by Mozilla, the non-profit that fights for your rights on the web, so you can trust it not to sell your data.

FF has been great until a recent update broke the URL bar. And unfortunately, the latest update didn't fix it. After having visited a site, when you tap the url bar to enter a new search or URL- the keyboard no longer comes up. Now you have to tap the URL bar, hit the x to clear it, and finally tap it once again for the keyboard to appear.

Firefox Focus is one of three web browser apps I make sure to have on my phone. DuckDuckGo, Firefox Focus, and Tor are my go-to trio. Firefox Focus is great for quick searches, especially for work when looking up info quickly with privacy. I find it helpful for my day-to-day little inquiries that I can also look up quickly, get the info, close the app, and repeat cleanly and efficiently. Of course the built in privacy is also another reason it is included in the trio - each with their own perks.

FFF used to be great. I sat on an old version for months because one bug has not been fixed yet. I regretfully adopt the newest version as of Feb 2024 and this bug is annoying as all heck: Tapping the address bar does not bring up the keyboard. Great, we highlighted the address. Why? We have no keyboard to type anything. Tapping the address bar again to bring up the keyboard deselects the address bar. So then you have to long tap and do select all, and finally can navigate to any other website.
