About this app

Audio Cues is designed for live performance. With just an Android phone or tablet, you can create and run simple audio designs for theatre, dance, and other live entertainment. Backing tracks for musicians, sound effects for magicians: all are possible with this simple app.

In-App Purchase: Unlimited Shows and Cues
Audio Cues permits up to 2 shows on each device and up to 10 cues per show without any payment or registration. An in-app purchase adds support for Unlimited Shows and Cues. In-app purchases are connected to Google accounts rather than individual devices, so the Unlimited Shows and Cues package will be recognized wherever you download the app with your account.

New release, January 2024
Version 2024.01.1 includes the following new features:
• "Run zoomed" display mode displays next and pending cues in large fonts, plus navigation buttons to scroll through the hidden cue list. Designed for when you're using a remote control and the Android device is a few feet away.
• "Flash screen on remote event" setting makes the screen flash when the app receives a keyboard, Bluetooth remote, or Flic 2 button event. Use this to verify the app is receiving signals from your remote device.
• A Restart button has been added to the control panel. When tapped, all running cues restart based on their "Start at" properties.
• The new Restart action can also be triggered by keyboard, remote control, and Flic 2 button events.

Features
Audio Cues supports five kinds of cues:
Audio cues work with all standard audio file formats, including WAV, OGG and more.
Fade cues can change a targeted audio cue's volume and pan from one channel to the other.
Stop cues immediately stop targeted audio cues.
Pause/Play cues act as a toggle switch, pausing or playing the targeted audio cues depending on whether they're currently playing.
Go to cues let you jump to another cue and optionally play it right it right away.

Other features include:
• Integration with Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox to transfer audio files to your Android device
• Support for Bluetooth media remote controls, keyboards, and Flic 2 buttons to trigger cues during performances
• Backup and restore shows to ZIP files

Keyboard shortcuts:
• Up and down cursor keys to scroll through the cue list
• Space bar to trigger the Go button
• Esc to stop all running cues
• Configurable keyboard shortcuts for navigation and running cues

Importing Audio Files
Import audio files from:
• File sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive
• An SD card or thumb drive
• The device's internal storage

We recommend Audacity, a free desktop application, for creating audio files.

I bought this and paid for it immediately. There's a bit of a learning curve and there are a few things that could do better, but for what I needed it was excellent. I'd recommend a "stop this cue" button on the cue list. The biggest problem I have is that sometimes a misfired cue is almost impossible to stop if you start to panic. Letting the cue fades you set apply when you manually stop the cube would be great as well

Exactly what I needed. I switch from an unreliable, and very expensive sound cueing unit to using this app on my phone for my sound cues and music for my shows...and it worked seamlessly. There was a little bit of a learning curve on how to upload music and it does not support wav files... But it is on a device that is always with me and charged... So right there that's a win!

Thanks for the kudos! The app should support WAV files. If you're having trouble with any particular file, you can send it to me at radialtheater@gmail.com and I'll try to diagnose the issue.

Professional audio guy here. This app has releived me of having to carry my qlab machine everywhere. Just finshed up Tekko anime convention where track acts and sound effects were abundant. 100% solid. Only note is it would be awesome if you could import multiple audio files at the same to save time. Overall easier than qlab for quick audio cues and such a joy to use. A big thank you to the developer. Heres hoping you make a lot more shows go a lot smoother. Cheers to you sir or madam.
