"The idea of creating these angel cards started around 28 years ago, when I had some leftover cassette insert covers from a recording I did in 1983 called “The Light of Tao”, (#8 Billboard New Age Category 2013) which I decided to make into a deck of 130 Angel cards. Each card was hand-written in a gold marker, with virtues such as Love, Healing, Opportunity, Caring, and Forgiveness. I had them laminated to protect them from wear and tear. So many friends loved using this deck and we had a lot of fun doing this after our meditations, or when we wanted to ask a specific question.
After 28 years of home use, the deck was getting worn around the edges, so I decided to create a new deck with one of my original Angel Paintings (Angel of the Presence). Instead of hand-writing each card, I opted for creating a lovely font for the new cards in Photoshop, and then created a descriptive paragraph to go with each of the 144 cards. I chose 144 cards instead of 130 because I have always felt a special affinity with that number. It comes from multiples of 12, a symbol for totality, mastery, and perfection, which when multiplied by the same number 12, comes to 144. The universe uses a 64 tetrahedral grid which encompasses many of the sacred symbols throughout history. A 3-dimensional 64 tetrahedral grid has 144 facets. The universe goes into infinity in fractals both inward and outward, using this specific geometric structure, with multiples of 144.
After years of developing my meditation techniques and spiritual practices, I was guided to organize and integrate the wisdom and healing techniques I have learned and assimilated, into a deck of 144 cards that would benefit others around the world in their quest for healthy living, personal development, and self-mastery.
