About this app

Learning Katakana is challenging. Unlike Hiragana or Kanji, they are uncommon in texts. As soon as you learn Katakana, you lose practice. Alephbet Katakana contains organized lessons designed to let you read complete words and phrases as you go that will give you the practice you need to make it stick. As you enter the practice session after each lesson, you will get the targeted words and phrases that contain only the Katakana you've learned so far.

* Learn all 46 Katakana in record time
* Ten lessons that cover pronunciation and reading tips
* Practice reading with carefully chosen words that you can actually read
* Write Katakana on the popup view
* Listen to the audio examples to perfect your reading
* Comprehensive Practice Mode to test your knowledge after the lessons

Was really impressed at the information in the first lesson, but when I got to the next table (where アウア is), I realized that the column for "listen" is cut out. I tried switching from force full screen to non-full screen and also tried changing orientation from horizontal to portrait but none of them work. It's still useful in a sense because it has all the information and whatnot but that means I'd have to google up the pronunciation for the given katakana word.

Overall very good app, easy to use and the instructions were clear. However, I think there are some errors in the reading practices and because of that, there are moments I was confused. Nonetheless, I now know Katakana and I am beyond grateful.

Easy to use. Lessons are well done and the examples provided help you memorize and acquire new vocabulary. I recommend this to users who have already learned hiragana.
