About this game

Japan was a country in turmoil at the beginning of the 18th century. It was a time of pageantry and corruption in the Shogun's court in Edo (now Tokyo) and of riotous gaiety in the pleasure quarters of ancient Kyoto, shuttered away from the world of social restraint.

Shogun Hex is a fast, samurai themed game inspired by board games. The aim of the game is to dominate the economy, military and religion in a feudal Japan. You gain points by influencing cities by placing strategical establishments. You can also use special elements that raise a cities value (nō theatre) or make it worthless (geisha) or even forbid other players to influense a city (peasants revolt).

You can play with AI or play multiplayer on one device. You can quickly learn how to play through tutorial or reading rules.

Perfunctory Android version of Reiner Kinizia's Samurai. The graphics are very poor and don't scale well. Transitioning from level to level results in weird graphical scaling bugs and requires restarting the app. The tutorial is atrocious and the rules have typos. Still, I'm thankful to the developer for building it and letting us play Samurai on Android.

I start a game, get the island map but... Where are the tiles to play? The big button gets me right back to choosing opponents and layout. Any help?
