About this app

The Digital Platform of the municipalities of Portugal is a project that is part of the framework to encourage learning policies promoted by local authorities in their relationship with schools and aims to:
 support the work of teachers, relatives and carers in treatment information to the municipality;
expand the supply of educational digital resources;
contribute to increase the use of educational digital resources in the classroom and family and promote literacy through the use of digital media;

The Digital Platform provides free access educational resources audio-scriptural-visual suitable for children of pre-school and 1st cycle of basic education, focusing on the thematic areas of the County Heritage, its historical figures of the legends of the region and also a animated version of the coat.
The CITI - Research Center for Interactive Technologies, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, New University of Lisbon has scientific and multimedia skills for the design and production of this type of digital work.

The collection features original books written and edited for students of 1st cycle schools. The texts can be listened to and every work has videos and 3D animations that value, or clarify the issues addressed. All works have a monument, or geographic area with special interest, a historical figure, a legend and we value the coat of each county, here specially treated.
The Digital Platform collection of municipalities of Portugal is enriched by adding each book a notebook to take notes and exercise
