About this app

Welcome to Mindfulness clock that helps you to be present in life! Mindfulness is defined by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn as attention:

* in the now
* with intent
* Without judging, or valuing

Mindfulness is an ability we all have, and research shows that mindfulness training including:
* Reduce stress and anxiety
* Increasing concentration and presence
* Increases quiet and quality of life

You can practice mindfulness and through formal exercises that sitting meditation and also in everyday life, wherever you are. The senses are important. You can feel the breath, taste the fruit, note scents, see things and hear sounds around you. In this app we use the hearing as a way to get back to the present. How you can use mindfulness bell:

* When you hear the sound of the bell, you can stop, close your eyes and feel the breath in the body.
* You can also take three conscious breaths each time the bell sounds.
* You do not have to stop but can continue what you are doing with renewed presence
* When the bell sounds, you think about something silently to yourself, for example:
   "I am calm and present"
    "I'm aware of what I do."
    Find gladly own words to suit you.
* Through the "Reminder", you can wake up to the sound of mindfulness bell.
* Give yourself a micro break in any manner
* Own use
* If you already are practicing mindfulness, you can take the help of mindfulness clock to keep track of time during the formal exercises. For example, let the bell ring every five minutes when you do sitting meditation or yoga movements.
* The application has a taste of formal mindfulness training, exercise "Body Scan 10 minutes", taken from "Daily drops mindfulness". Once you have learned the exercise, you can do it on its own to the sound of mindfulness bell.

No matter how you choose to use mindfulness time, we hope that it will brighten your day and help increase attendance.

There was a question in the comments about why the app needs to know who to call. It does not. The app asks if a right is called "READ_PHONE_STATE". The reason for this is to pause an exercise you listen to when it rings. It does not allow the app to see who you are calling or whom a call is coming from, but just knowing _att_ ringing.

If you have questions about the app, please email to martin@widemind.se. Instead of putting a bad rating :-)
