The app has been very super leggy or late. Even in the library. Even the kiosks have gone backwards...always have issues scanning multiple books...end up everyone scanning books one by one. Very disappointing that things have become so backwards despite constant upgrading...I had a better experience borrowing books using kiosk service and app in 2019 and 2022..now it's not even comparable to 2019. Ridiculous upgrades.

The app is good when it works. Recent updates have rendered it almost unusable. Once launched, it loads, and continues loading. On those rare occasions when it works, after you navigate out of the home page, you cannot go back to it - it just displays a blank screen. You close and relaunch, only to have it loads and keeps loading. Perhaps the developers should focus on the basics first before adding more bells and whistles.

How is this so bad? The QR scanner has been dysfunctional for ages. While my native QR reader reads almost instantly, the NLB app's scanner never does. To add insult to injury, it overrides your sound settings to beep at the loudest volume (IN THE LIBRARY) only to result in nothing. Prior versions of the app always distorted the camera's aspect ratio and was unable to detect the QR code as a result. Why not fix this? QR technology is not novel nor new.
