Children Resuscitation Aid – and more!

The application gives you all essential resuscitation data based on the weight of the patient (both children and adult).

WETFAG is a common acronym for Weight - Energy - Tubus - Fluids - Adrenaline - Glucose, used by emergency rescue personnel as a memory aid in resuscitation in children.

Besides the WETFAG calculus, this application provides doses of most commonly used drugs in the emergency medicine and can also calculate doses for adults (swipe the screen left or right to see additional screens). Amongst other, doses for ketamine, rocuronium, fentanyl, midazolam, amiodarone, atropine and adenosine are included.

The application provides:
- A quick calculation for age-to-weight, weight-to-age and basic resuscitation quantities.
- Simple entry of age (years or months) or weight.
- Doses of most commonly used drugs in the emergency medicine based on entered age/weight (swipe the screen to display).
- Doses for Children as well as adults.
- Display of used formulae.
- An option to keep app on screen (turn off display locking) while in use.
- An option to save current entry and list a history of previously saved entries.
- Vital signs reference ranges.

Excellent app apart from weight calculations for 1 - 5 year olds is 2 x (age in years + 8) this throws off all the calculations in this age group.

I guess you meant 2x(age+4) - the APLS formula. We use Luscombe formula, which gives much better estimation (APLS formula underestimated weight in all age groups in developed countries) Please refer to: Luscombe MD, Owens BD, D Burke in Emerg Med J 2011 28: 590-593. and Kelly AM, Nguyen K, Krieser D. in Emerg Med Australas. 2011 Feb;23(1):59-62.

Good stuff. I like how smooth it runs. I would like it better if you could add in the reference ranges for pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
