Security Advice
For Security reasons, the application cannot be run from a Rooted Device.
Department of Post never asks you to provide your MPIN, Transaction Password, User ID and OTP (One Time Password). Please be aware of such Phishing by fraudulent.
How to Activate Mobile Banking Application
1. Download the Mobile Banking Application from Google Play store. Please donβt download from any other websites.
2. Open the application and click on Activate Mobile Banking button.
3. Enter the Security Credentials which you have provided with Department of Post.
4. No message Charges for OTP (One Time Password). We shall deliver you Activation OTP on your Registered Mobile Device. Please enter the OTP on the screen which asked you to enter the OTP and proceed further.
5. Once successfully validated you will be asked to enter 4 digit MPIN. Please enter 4 digit MPIN of your choice and you will be activated for Mobile Banking Application.
6. For login into Mobile Banking application, please enter your User Id and the new MPIN.

it is not very user friendly but most useful when you consider the experience with staff at the post office. for any issues after logging in internet banking there is an email option under general sevices menu option. any concerns if raised , i get prompt and accurate response. for password change, it is suggested to use forgot password link on the login page before logging in rather than change password after login. it works.

At this point this app deserves only 2 star rating . Under the transfer menu, recurring deposit transfer shoots error message when we try to transfer monthly instalment. The 'server down' problem must be addressed to. If these short coming are redressed , then it will deserve a 5 star rating!

Not even working for many days says "communication failure with the server. Plz check the network connectivity and try after some time" whereas website log-in is working. Otherwise it feels good to see our most oldest banking system is getting digitalized. Great initiative. However it lacks some basic features like fund transfer, payments etc. But i loved using it rather going to post office. Good luck guys.

Once you have completed registration for mobile banking, you can use the services offered by Department of Post Mobile banking application. Please download latest apk and use activate option for further process. You can now initiate NEFT fund transfer to any bank account round the clock. Performance improvement and bug fixes are there in this release.
