Download our Mobile Banking app and manage your accounts quickly and easily, wherever you are.

- View and download your eStatements*
- Send and receive Secure Messages

*You can view your last six eStatements within the app. Further statements are available in Internet Banking.

GETTING STARTED

You must be an existing Cumberland Internet Banking customer to use the app and have previously registered your mobile phone number with us.

To register to use the app you need to complete the following steps:

- Download the app and select 'Register' from the main menu
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
- Enter your Internet Banking Customer Number and Access Code
- We'll then send you a One-Time security code to the mobile phone number you have registered with us. Enter the code to verify your device.
- Finally, you'll be asked to choose and confirm a 5 digit passcode to enter each time you log on. You can also set up Fingerprint Authentication on compatible devices.

We will not charge you to use our Mobile Banking app, although use may incur data use charges from your network provider.

Your eligible deposits with Cumberland Building Society are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK's deposit protection scheme.

Sloooow. Just switched accounts & so far not that impressed with it all, app is slow to update transactions, doesn't show pending transactions etc, compared to bigger bank apps it's very basic, can see myself switching again.

The Cumberland does very well to have a current account at all given that it's a small regional building society (and aside from the Nationwide the only other building society in the UK to offer current A/C's).As long as you understand that this app and the current account offering is very basic & limited in functionality i.e you can set up standing orders but you cannot cancel or amend them,you have to phone customer services to do that!! However friendly staff & no foreign debit card fees.

As other reviewers have said, the app is good when it works but all too often freezes at the log in page. When it does this it's not possible to move to password/biometric. Have to restart my phone in order to get the app to work. I have a Samsung A12 so it's not an old device. Cumberland needs to sort this out as it's a real pain.
