Hey Pharmacist lets you order, track and get reminded about your NHS repeat prescription in just two taps and also book appointments for vaccines and other health services.

Integrated with NHS login, we make ordering and managing your prescriptions easy.

Request your NHS repeat prescription, track the status of your order and set yourself a reminder to order next time.

You can choose to have your medication delivered free of charge, or to collect from your local community pharmacy.

Delivered for free

Choose home delivery and we’ll deliver your prescription for free via Royal Mail. This includes items that need to be kept in the fridge. We deliver to any address in the UK at no cost to you or the NHS.

By selecting home delivery, your prescription will be dispensed by Rowlands Pharmacy Online at our distance selling pharmacy t/a Rowlands Pharmacy Online, Rivington Road, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 3DJ

Support your local pharmacy

Hey Pharmacist makes it simple to collect your prescription from your local community pharmacy too. You can choose to collect your medication from over 4500 pharmacies in England and speak to your local pharmacist face-to-face. Simply order through the app and your medication will be prepared in your chosen pharmacy. Ready to collect at a time that suits you.

Manage medication on behalf of a family member

Using the Hey Pharmacist app, you can even order and manage the medication of your loved ones. Simply register for this feature using unique online access codes available from your GP. Their medication can be delivered to you, we can send it straight to them or it can be collected from your local pharmacy, the choice is yours.

NEW: Book a vaccine or a health service with your local pharmacy

If you’ve registered for the service using your NHS login, you can now view and book a service with your local pharmacy. From vaccines to support your travel plans, protecting yourself from the flu or just advice and support on improving your health and lifestyle.

No extra cost

Our service is free to use and is at no extra cost to the NHS. If you currently pay for your prescription you will pay the standard NHS charge when you order or if you’ve chosen to collect from your local pharmacy, you will be charged upon collection. If your prescription is free, just add in your exemption details or prepayment certificate into the app when
prompted.

If something goes wrong, our patient experience team is here to help. Made up of experienced pharmacy professionals including a team of pharmacists, we’re on hand to help answer any questions or support you might need when using our service. Contact us via phone, email or instantly within the app.

Can I use Hey Pharmacist?

To use our service and to order repeat prescriptions from Hey Pharmacist, you must be:
• registered with a GP in England
• have medication that’s on a repeat prescription
• have a delivery address in the UK or be able to collect your medication from a pharmacy in England

Sounds great – how do I get started?

1. Download the Hey Pharmacist app and set up your account using NHS login
2. See your repeat prescriptions and choose which you want delivered.
3. Your GP will check your order and we'll let you know when it's approved.
4. If you choose home delivery you’ll get updates on where your order’s up to.
5. If you choose local collection, simply call into the pharmacy when you’re ready collect – please allow 2-3 days for this option

Was great but last few orders I've had to chase. They have had my most recent order for over a week "preparing it". Placing order and approval from GP immediate, but they are very slow in "preparing" the orders and sending them. Not as good or as fast as it used to be. Best I've used so far. Excellent app and great, quick service.

Person I use this app for has gone into withdrawal a number of times due to its failure to send orders through. Massive disgrace for an app which you are asking people to rely on for their health

Dispatch time inconsistent, sometimes fast, other times the order status stays in preparing mode for days on end. Query it and they say order earlier but of course that's not possible as my inhaler has a not order before date.
