Welcome to our Find a garden app. It will help you find gardens to visit from the more than 3500 in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands that open each year to help raise money for caring and nursing charities.
To help you plan your visits, the NGS app allows you to search for gardens using your current location or by entering a postcode or town. Opening dates, times, prices, a description and photograph of the gardens along with information about how to get there are provided.
Founded in 1927, the National Gardens Scheme has a proud history of donating money to great charitable causes; more the £67 million has been donated to date.

Just like the website, the NGS App is utterly dreary, very crash prone and slow, with the search facility exceptionally clumsy giving poor results every time with garden locations missed and too widespread. NGS need to start again with this App by re-appointing some new App Developers, as those currently used are technically inept. Such a shame. NGS would do well to take a leaf out of the Scottish Garden Scheme in emulating their excellent marketing and garden visitor promotional offering.

The NGS website is very slow and i was initially delighted when i discovered the app but... I like to plan the whole season on my calendar so why restrict searches to a maximum of 28 days ahead? And i want to travel within 25 miles of home but am restricted by the app default of 50 miles. The app needs to be more flexible with greater choice of search criteria.

have tried multiple times over the last month to install it ... app will just not open, each time announcing it has a bug. Developer: please act on this. (Accessed with Galaxy Note 10 running very latest android software)

The app now features all of our gardens open throughout the year and provides an interactive map to help you find the perfect garden to visit.
