About this app

The VoluMark benchmark is based on the Volumize volume rendering engine.

VoluMark is based on pure CPU rendering without using the GPU. It is highly optimized with SIMD and multi-threading and an excellent tool to benchmark your CPU performance.

When hitting the BenchMark button benchmarking starts. The rendered volume is a micro -CT scanned head of a mouse of 500x500x400 voxels.

During benchmarking the volume is rotated for 10 seconds. At the end the score is displayed. Rendering is at 500x500 pixels and the image is upscaled to fit the display.

The number of CPU cores used is configurable.
CPU throttling can be analysed by running x10 or x100 times, statistics are displayed.

The benchmark has been optimized both for ARM and x86 processors (32 and 64 bit)

Besides benchmarking it's possible to interact with the volume.

Drag to rotate. Pinch to zoom.
Clip volume, with first action bar button and then long press on a cube face and drag.
Change the volume transparency and contrast with second action bar button,.
drag up down to remove soft tissue, right left to increase contrast.
Third button to reset.
